The idea of commissioning a craftsman rather than approaching a salesman may seem intimidating, yet sharing and expanding your ideas is the best way to ensure something meets your practical needs and aesthetic ideals. It is a collaborative process, with the client articulating their requirements and preferences and the maker providing designs and advice.

While anything handmade takes time to craft, bespoke does not necessarily equate to expensive and unattainable. Just like preferences for style, timber and finish, budget is an important aspect of any enquiry and you will be guided through all the possible options.

Telephone discussions are typically followed up with a home visit to get accurate measurements or to see the space a piece will occupy and the furniture it must complement. Drawings, and possibly a model, will then be produced together with a price and estimated completion date, and once an instruction to proceed is given a deposit will be required with the balance due on delivery.

It is not a showroom, but clients are welcome to visit the workshop at any time to see timber samples or work in progress.
